Pantry Goodies

Hey All!

Happy weekend. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite staples to have in the kitchen.

Let’s start off with flours. I go a little overboard with the amount of flours I have, but you don’t need to. I would definitely have an almond and coconut flour (especially for the gluten free and paleo peeps) as well as an all purpose flour for baking and breading. If you are on a budget, I would check out Anthony’s Goods. They are super affordable and have all the flours and powders you need (even activated charcoal for $10!).

Snacks are a big deal to people. Don’tcha just love munchin on things throughout the day? Depends on the day, but I know I like a quick bite here and there. My favorite go-to are raw nuts and seeds. Preferably not roasted or salted (this way you eliminate harmful hydrogenated oils and excess salt). Try some raw cashews, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds. They’re packed with iron, protein, healthy fat, and fiber to keep you feeling full and satisfied throughout your day. To stay on a budget, I would highly suggest buying these at the bulk section in the grocery store verses buying them already packaged in a container or bag. Calculate the amount per pound and it always comes out cheaper when you bag it yo’self! (I also store them in a air tight mason jar; helps them last longer and stay fresh!).

Ok, next stop spreads. Spreads? I mean, like butters and stuff! Coconut butter is my favorite! Along with cashew butter, almond butter, and pumpkin seeds butter. GIMME ALL THE BUTTAHS. Radiant Life has the best cashew butter I have ever tasted. You can check that out here.

And lastly, so I don’t chew your ear off, I’ll round it out with protein powder. Over the years I must have tried a hundred different brands of protein powders. From whey to plant based to green stuff to stuff that has a terrible after taste..yada yada. I have now settled on two brands that I really love. One is VegaOne protein (choco-o-lot) flavor and Purely Inspired organic protein vanilla flavored. They are both plant based and they don’t have any added sugars, processed ingredients, or terrible aftertastes. I also throw in protein powders when I bake some of my cookies and muffins for some added gainzzz.

Ok, I left out a couple of things and my pantry is constantly changing as I try out new brands, products, and other goodies out there.

Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below! 🙂

Be well,

Allie
